This project started as a very exclusive custom piece for a drag performance artist. Another One-OF-A-KIND piece, the mold was destroyed after being cast. The patron wanted this for a very special stage performance, the overall design was to emulate the Alien Queen, but as a crown worn by yet another alien “queen”. The form was sculpted of clay, molded and ultimately cast in Resin. The piece was trimmed, sanded, fitted for the patron’s head to wear comfortably and securely as they performed on stage. The paint was a metallic mix of various blues with a light pearl shimmer.
